The Widnes Wild are delighted to confirm that they are continuing our offer of free tickets for NHS Workers and Firefighters for the 2018/19 season. with the Wild looking to build on the playoff winning success of last season by winning the league and promotion.
The success of the recent #ForManchester at Silver Blades Altrincham highlighted how passionate and caring the sport of ice hockey is raising over £31000 for the victims of the Manchester Arena tragedy. Two of the Wild’s players, Lee Kemp and Danny Bullock, volunteered their time and bodies to play in the recent Puck Aid game in Milton Keynes having played in the #ForManchester game last season.
Speaking about the Widnes Wild’s initiative to give free tickets to NHS Workers and Firefighters Danny Bullock commented;
“Playing ice hockey for the Wild is a privilege as it brings enjoyment to thousands of people each year, however it is nothing in comparison to the lifesaving work that Nurses, Doctors, Paramedics and Firefighters do. I’m proud to be involved with a team that recognises the contribution these heroes make to our local community”.
In order to get a free game ticket all NHS staff and Firefighters need to do is complete a short form, selecting the team they would like to watch play the RTL Widnes Wild (if they have a preference). Once the fixtures are announced a complimentary ticket will be sent out and to redeem it all that is needed is for the ticket holder to present it along with their NHS or Firefighter cards.
