There is only one word for the latest RTL Widnes Wild signing. Big. A big player, with a big heart who was a big part of making the Wild a success last season. So let’s have a big hand for Lee Kemp.
At 6 foot ‘2 without his skates on, and almost as wide across the shoulders Lee was a big presence on the ice for the Wild last season and at 28 he is just coming into his peak as a player.
Speaking about his return to the Wild, Lee said;
” I’m honoured to be playing for the Wild again in the upcoming 16/17 season. I love playing in the rink and playing in front of the best fans in the league, the #Wildones. They really are the loudest group ever and act like a 7th man when you’re on the ice. As for the team they are an amazing bunch of lads that have everyone’s back and stick together as one. It’s exciting times ahead with the new coach Ollie coming on board and I look forward to learning from him this season with the experience he has. I genuinely can’t wait to get going.”
Wild GM, John Anderson said about Lee’s return,
“It’s great to have Lee Kemp back in a Wild jersey. Lee’s a big, powerful D-man that stands up for his team mates without hesitation. He’s a big presence in the changing room and a genuinely nice guy off the ice. I’m very pleased with this signing.”
Lee will once again wear the number #15 shirt and his home, away and warm-up shirts are all available to own ‘n’ loan. More information on the Wild own ‘n’ loan scheme can be found here.
