Joe Charlton and Daniel Bracegirdle sign up for a Wild 2013/14.
Another two ex Fylde Flyers have committed to Widnes for the coming season bringing the total Flyers still playing league hockey to 7 and a Netminder from a squad of 25 at Flyers last season.
Danny Bracegirdle and Joe Charlton were both ever present on the Flyers bench last season with Joe attending every game even when out with a long term injury.
Both forwards are good workers and always pop up with a suprise goal or two over the season. Both Danny and Joe have at some time played for team manager Mick Caunce on blades and wheels in leagues and tournaments across the country and into Europe.
General Manager Mick Caunce said;
“I was keen to sign these two because I know I can rely on them to be at games week in week out”
“Danny and Joe have both worked hard at the trials and training over the last few months and have earned there place in the squad”.
Speaking on the his new environment, Joe said;
“Having played under Mick since the age of about 10, and more recently coached by Gilly at Fylde last season, the decision to sign for the Wild when asked was an easy one. Mick is a quality GM with lots of experience, where as Gilly is one of the most promising young coaches in the UK. The facilities at Widnes are up there with the very best in the country and I’m sure we’ll be able to attract some big crowds. I know most of the lads already from the various teams i’ve been a part of during my career and we all seem to be gelling really well as a team.”
“On a personal note, after last seasons injury plagued season, I’m feeling fit and ready to contribute to the team wherever possible, whether it’s nicking goals or doing the gritty stuff in the corners. I can’t wait to pull a Wild jersey on in September and help the team get results!”
