Crossing the Border to go Wild

The RTL Widnes Wild are pleased to announce the re-signing of last year’s player’s player Berwyn “Bez” Hughes. A versatile player Bez can play forward and defence and over 63 games with the Wild Bex has scored 28 points in league games and sat in the penalty box for 150 minutes.

At only 22 years old the proud Welshman has a wealth of experience having played for Telford Tigers and the Charlotte Rush as well as having spent his junior career playing in his native Wales and as part of the Manchester Phoenix junior system.

Speaking from Croatia Wild Player-Coach Ollie Barron said;

“I’m delighted to bring Bez to the roster. I selected Bez as the most improved player last season as he was always available for selection and put the team first. Bez is a very versatile player, he can play both forward and D, and he is a big part of the Wild team.”

“I expect Bez to have a good season and to push on from where he left off”, added Ollie.

Bez will once again wear the #20 on his playing and warm up shirts and all of them are available to own ‘n’ loan here.

Next Monday we’ll be announcing not one but two players so make sure you are tuned into TTGW Radio to hear the signing news as it breaks.
