It is with great pleasure the RTL Widnes Wild announce the return of the netminder Matt Croyle
The 21 year old from High Wycombe was an important part of the Wild’s success last season and registered an impressive 0.917 save average. Matts also represented Team GB University last year at the Winter Universiade in Kazakhstan.
Speaking about his latest signing, player-coach Ollie Barron said;
“Matt joined the Wild last season from Sheffield, and had a good season between the pipes. It was Matts first full year as a Senior goalie, I expect Matts performances to continue to improve this season, after ending on a high with some great performances in the NIHL playoff weekend, conceding just one goal over the semi final and playoff final.”
Matt Croyle said about his return;
“After last seasons solid performance I was excited to be offered a spot on this seasons team. I think we can offer more and achieve even more than we did last year. The recent signings for the team are a solid start, I can’t wait to start the season and play for the #WildOnes.”
Matt will continue to wear the #39 Shirt this year, his jerseys are available to own and loan here.
