Following the Wild’s fantastic double header victory over Bradford Bulldogs and Coventry Blaze, then a weekend break, the Wild are back in action when they take on the Hull Jets on home ice this Sunday with face off at 17:30 at the Silver Blades ice rink.
Widnes Wild are off to a good start to the season and sit in fourth of the NIHL North Division 2 with six points from a possible eight in the four league games they have played to date only losing one of them to Deeside Dragons in the local derby.
With the demise of the elite team Hull Stingrays, making Hull Jets and Pirates the only opportunity for trophies in the men’s league, so far Hull have had a mixed start to the season playing five league games going down to a defeat and a draw to the Nottingham Lions, Jets are currently in third just above Wild just one point ahead
The Wild are itching to lace their skates on, to continue on their winning form against the Jets as they welcome the team to the rink for the first time this season.
The previous home games have been a great atmosphere for fans to enjoy, really loud with massive support for the team. Sunday welcomes an onesie night for the kids to get involved with as well as chuck a duck. There is also an opportunity for everyone to vote for their player of the month for October, the voting slips will be available.
Ticket prices for the home game are £6 for adults and £3 for concessions. If you can’t make the trip to the game, then don’t forget the Wild’s official Twitter account will keep you informed with score updates and play by play updates.
