The YKK-sponsored Widnes Wild are pleased to announce that long-serving forward Ken Armstrong will be returning for his seventh season with the Club.
Armstrong was one of the first players to join the Wild when the team started back in 2013 and has notched up some 190 appearances over that time, scoring 18 goals and 25 assists and picking up 42 penalty minutes.
Ken was an “ever present” in the team that won the Laidler Division league and play-off double last season, where he scored 3 + 5 in the 36 games overall.
Armstrong learnt his junior hockey at Altrincham and went on to play over 80 league games for the Lancashire Raptors and Blackburn Eagles, before joining the Wild.
Talking about his return to the Club for the new season, Armstrong said:
“I am looking forward to starting my seventh season with The Wild. We have had some big changes over the summer, with players leaving and a new coach coming in and I’m excited to see what we can achieve this year with the team Mike Clancy is building.”
“It’s such an amazing club to play for, with amazing fans and I am proud to be a part of it.”
Ken will once again be wearing the No. 9 shirt and his home, away and warm-up shirts are available to own and loan. More information can be found by following this link.
