The YKK-sponsored Widnes Wild are pleased to announce that popular defenceman Tom Jackson will be returning to play for the 2019/20 Laidler Division season.
This will be Jackson’s 7th season at Widnes, having originally joined the Wild midway through the 2013/14 season from Hull where he played his junior hockey.
Overall, Tom has played 190 games for Widnes scoring 14 goals and 37 assists from his defensive position and picking up 265 penalty minutes.
He was an ever-present in last season’s league and play off double winning team, featuring in all 36 league, challenge and play off games – scoring 7+12 – and he was named “most improved player” for the 2018/19 season at the recent Player Awards evening.
Talking about his return to the Wild for the new season, Jackson said:
“When I was asked to come back by the coach, I was excited and am already looking forward to be back on the ice. Last year was a great success for the club and me on a personal level so I am really looking forward to building on last year and being back in a wild shirt come August/September when the season gets underway!”
Tom Jackson will be wearing the #84 shirt for the 2019/20 season and his home, away and warm up shirts are now available to “own and loan” by following this link:
