It is with great delight that the Wild announce the return of Matt “The Cat” Croyle for his third season the in the Black and Gold of the Widnes Wild.
Matt was the top netminder in the league last season playing 28 league games, facing 772 shots but only letting 50 past him. Competition for Matt’s signature was understandable high this year, and he has attracted interest from several D1 clubs, however Matt has chosen to return to Widnes. As well as playing for the Wild Matt will continue his role as a coach with the England programme.
Speaking about his return Matt said,
“It’s a pleasure to be back playing for the best fans in the league. Last season was successful but I think we can improve further and bring back some more silverware”.
Matt will continue to wear the number 39 jersey and his home, away and warm-up shirts are available to own ‘n’ loan.
