After a disappointing result against Telford Tigers last weekend losing 5-2 to the team currently sitting in second place in the league. Widnes Wild are preparing for the game ahead as they travel to Hull Jets, on Sunday with 17:30 face off at the Hull Arena.
With local rivals, Deeside Dragons having leap-frogged the Lions after they beat Eagles 8-2, and now have 24 points the Wild are still in a good position for the play offs in April but need a win to avoid things turning scrappy in the closing stages of the season.
As Jets didn’t have a game weekend gone they are still in fifth position, three points behind Wild who are in fourth with 28 points.
Two weeks ago Jets and Wild faced each other at the Silver Blades rink with Widnes winning 5-3.
If you can’t make the trip to both games this weekend, then don’t forget the Wild’s official Twitter account will keep you informed with end of period score updates and play by play updates
