The RTL sponsored Widnes Wild enjoyed their most successful ever season in 2016/17 when, under new player coach Ollie Barron, they finished runners up in the Laidler Conference just two points behind champions Blackburn Eagles and then went on to win their first ever trophy at the play off weekend at ice Sheffield.
There’s an opportunity to keep a lasting souvenir of that memorable season as Wild match reporter Paul Breeze has put together all the match reports, photos and lots more from the 2016/17 campaign in a great new book called “A Year In The Wild”.
The book has 160 pages in total and includes a match report, photo and gamesheet (as available) for every single Widnes Wild game of the 2016/17 season, including both preseason challenge games against Altrincham Aces, the winter classic charity game against the Widnes All Stars and the Laidler conference play-off semi-final and final.
