As the race for the all-important top-four finish heats up, Eagles who are currently sitting 9th in the league host the Wild this Saturday at Blackburn Ice Rink.
Last time Widnes played Eagles they won 4-2 and earlier in the season won 7-0.
The following night the Jets will travel to Widnes to take on Wild at the Silver Blade rink, after Wild beat Nottingham home and away last weekend gaining all four points they see themselves sitting in fourth position with Hull Jets who are on the same points – 25.
The last meeting with the Jets on home ice ended in a 5-5 draw.
Wild forward Joe Greaves is set to miss out being in the roaster after sustaining an injury during Saturday’s game against Lions.
The weekend promises to be another entertaining night with two sides battling for what could be a crucial advantage in the standings come April.
