Wild Women Look To Outshine Diamonds

The Widnes Wild women’s team are back in action this Sunday 27th November when they play Kingston Diamonds in the Women’s Premier League at Silver Blades Widnes.

It is the Wild women’s first league game in almost a month, due to how the fixtures have fallen, and they will be keen to keep up the form that saw them take 3 points from their last two home games – a 3-3 draw against Slough Phantoms and a 3-2 win over Nottingham Vipers.

Kingston are new to the WPL, having won promotion from National Division 1 via the play offs at the end of last season and have yet to register a point from their first 5 games.

Looking ahead to the game, Coach Owen Tennant said:

“The girls have been working really hard in training to improve on previous performances. We have together looked at different aspects of our game that need to be improved and focused on them specifically. This is a big game for us; we need the win to prove we are still in with a chance at winning the title.”

The Widnes Wild women’s team face Kingston Diamonds this Sunday 27th November at Silver Blades Widnes. Face off is 5.30pm and admission is free.
