The Widnes Wild Ladies team have an away game this Sunday 15th May to face the Milton Keynes Falcons down in Buckinghamshire – 6.30pm face off.

The two teams met at Planet Ice Widnes last Sunday in an entertaining match which ended up in a 2-14 victory for the visitors but the Wild women will be looking to build on the positive aspects that came out of that game and will be heading south with a point to prove.

The Falcons are currently in 5th place in the Womens Premier League table and are locked in a three-way battle with 4th place Firebees and 6th place Chelmsford for the final play off place. Just 1 point separates all three teams so every result is crucial as the regular season enters its final two weekends.

Following Sunday’s game the Wild women have another away trip – against the Firebees in Slough on Sunday 22nd May – to round off their league campaign.

The Wild Academy Under 16 team’s challenge at home to Sheffield U16s that had been due to be played on Saturday has been cancelled as Sheffield were unable to raise a team. That means that they have now completed all their games for this season.

The Wild NIHL team are holding their annual Presentation Evening at the Village Club in Widnes on this Friday 13th May, stasting at 7.30pm.

The “Own and Loan” shirts for the season will be available for collection at the event, there will be all the usual awards and presentations and a buffet will also be served.

Tickets are £15 each and can be purchased from the ice rink Box Office.
