The YKK-sponsored Widnes Wild are delighted to announce a new business partnership with the University of Salford.
This partnership enables the students of the University’s Sports Injury Clinic to get more experience in real world situations and help them in their education and curriculum.
The head of the Sports Injury Clinic is Bob Bramah who knows all about ice hockey having previously been a player for the Liverpool Leopards and also a match referee for many years.
Talking about the new partnership, Bramah said: “I am excited to be involved with the Wild and thank the team management for giving an opportunity to University of Salford Students to learn about our great sport and help the team build on last year’s success.”
Wild General Manager GM Wez Spurrett commented: “We could not be happier that we could help out the students at the University of Salford. It is a great establishment and we are really excited about having them aboard. Using hockey to help in the community is something that is close to my heart, and I truly hope this is the first of many partnerships we can bring into the club.”
The new partnership will not only benefit the team and players, it has also been kindly extended to the club juniors, women’s team and the Wild fans as well.
