Looking back over the Three Rivers Cup, Widnes Wild General manager Wez Spurrett said:

“We have been delighted that the Three Rivers Cup was able to go ahead, especially with the short time we had to get it together. A huge thank you to not only our players and staff that took part, but also the other teams as we know it’s been tough with all the Covid protocols in place.”

“Naturally we are happy with finishing second and making the upcoming playoffs, but we would have liked to have had a better end to the series. That said, we will be refreshed and ready to go on June 5th to try and build on the recent Streaming Series success.”
