The YKK Widnes Wild are delighted to announce that the home games for the up-coming series of games will be streamed for free by BASN. NiHL fans will be acquainted with the excellent coverage of NiHL games over a number of seasons, as well as covering the two playoff tournaments for D2N hosted by Planet Ice Widnes.
As well as streaming the three games being played at Planet Ice Widnes, BASN will broadcast additional content including player interviews. Renowned for their professionalism, BASN will broadcast with impartiality to ensure that the games are accessible to the fans of the teams involved as well as being accessible to neutral fans.
Speaking on behalf of the YKK Widnes Wild, Matt Lloyd said, “the past twelve months have been hard on everyone, both in terms of the devastating physical impact and in terms of people’s mental health. Everyone involved is volunteering and will be tested on a regular basis to protect themselves, their teammates, their opponents and their families however, more importantly, the games will provide a sense of normality, with the hope of future shared activities and will hopefully provide something for fans to interact with each other, either virtually or in person, subject to restrictions being eased”.
“It was important to everyone involved at the Wild that the games were streamed for free. Times have been tough for everybody and we wanted to make sure that as many people as possible would be able to enjoy the games. We hope as many people as possible make the decision choose to watch the games and we’d like to thank all involved for making this happened”, continued Matt.
Commenting for BASN, producer Gary Lee, said, “we’re delighted to be invited to cover these matches and are keen to get back to doing what we all enjoy, and that’s bringing Ice Hockey to the fans”.
Gary added, “This is a great opportunity under these difficult times as we look forward to some exciting games ahead”.
Further information will be shared on both YKK Widnes Wild and BASN over the next couple of weeks.
