The Widnes Wild women’s team face the long trip to Essex on Sunday when they play the Chelmsford Cobras in their second game of the Women’s Premier League season.
The Wild women beat Chelmsford home and away last season but can expect a sterner test this time around against a Cobras side that drew with early-season league leaders Milton Keynes Falcons 3-3 in their opening game of the new campaign.
The Wild team lost their opening game – also against the Falcons – 1-5 despite outshooting them and will be keen to get their first points up on the board.
The game on Sunday afternoon is at the Riverside Ice & Leisure Centre in Chelmsford (CM1 1FG) and face off is at 12.20 – admission is free.
The Wild women are next at home on Sunday 23rd October when they entertain Slough Phantoms at Silver Blades Widnes. The game faces off at 5.30pm and admission is free.
